In the Hospital

We need your help with crucial support services at both the Children’s Wisconsin Milwaukee and Fox Valley hospitals. Your time ensures a hospital visit (or stay) is as comfortable and welcoming as possible for kids and their families.

Training is provided to ensure you’re serving the kids and families of Wisconsin with the best and safest care — whether that’s through direct or indirect family interaction.

You can serve in a variety of roles such as:

Supporting patients and families at the bedside
Helping patient families navigate the hospital and campus
Becoming a therapy dog volunteer to provide enhanced quality of care
Advising on patient family experience
Provide customer service, stock shelves and deliver items to patients at the gift shop on Milwaukee campus

Outside the Hospital

We cannot have the healthiest kids in the nation if we don’t provide wrap around care for their families. You can support kids and families directly in the communities where they live, learn, work and play.

Volunteerism outside of the hospital is one more way we consider the whole child, and with your support we can scale and expand vital programming that changes lives.

Example Opportunities:

Providing respite to parents or caregivers of children with special health care needs
Supporting our foster care families by distributing necessary items (clothing, hygiene items, etc.) through our Robyn’s Nest facility
Creating a safe place to share experiences with others who are also experiencing grief’s impact
Supporting children and adolescents with a safe place after experiencing trauma

Rally the Community

Move our mission forward by rallying the community around the health and well-being of kids. Join us in galvanizing the community’s generosity, volunteerism and advocacy.

Opportunities can include:

Partnering with our Government Relations team to drive policy change
Supporting key fundraising events
Providing intellectual capital and connections to amplify Children’s mission and fundraising efforts
Joining boards or committees
Providing donors, friends and other professional advisors with information about a wide range of gift planning options
